This course will focus on supporting and providing teachers with strategies for students with difficulties in the area of self-regulation (e.g. “self-control,” “anger control,” “impulse control”) and social skills in a variety of classroom settings (special education and general education). This course will also provide teachers with example lessons/activities as well as visual supports to use in the classroom. Teachers will leave this course with ideas on how to incorporate social emotional learning into their curriculum and provide teachers with strategies to support their students in their classrooms form a multidisciplinary approach.
